Earth Moves began when I started sharing movement as a way to help people reconnect Body, Mind and Spirit. I began by offering drop in classes, and I continue to offer special workshops and activities at events and conferences.
My dream for Earth Moves is that it be a bridge of well-being across communities.
Earth Moves can be booked as a stand alone health and movement workshop or as a “Train the Trainer” program to create the structure for regular programming delivered by community members, for community members.
Earth Moves empowers women, youth and First Nation’s communities through active living. Liberating movement, infused with culture, language and connection to earth will build confidence, self esteem, and reduce stress and anxiety to improve mental, emotional and physical health.
As a social enterprise all of Laura Reid’s services and programs will help sustain and mobilize Earth Moves. In order to maintain the integrity of the project content, delivery and intended outcomes, Earth Moves does not apply for formal grant programs.
Empowering individuals and communities to support and learn about one another through wellness and economic innovation (social enterprise) is part of the Earth Moves dance!
Nourishing partnerships with local businesses, non-profit agencies, charitable organizations, boards of education and healthcare organizations can make a difference!
